would anyone know the difference between chemical engineering and biomedical engineering school?

i am comparing the chemical engineering program with biomed./biotech. program and i would like to know the difference. and the difference also between master degree in chemical engineer and master degree of science in chemical engineer. your answer will be appreciated. please don’t answer if you are guessing as i am really serious and looking for the correct answert
i am a chemistry major and biology minor, but the gpa is way low (low of the 2.0))do you think what is the possibility to get accepted in master program?

Does anyone have up-to-date news about Geron Corp.’s advancements in their embryonic stem cell research program (or any other news about embryonic stem cells) reported during the various presentations at the ISSCR meeting June 29 through July 1, 2006 in Toronto?

Can anyone give me a summary on biotech?

Particularly prosthetic limbs please. Maybe a bit on the nervous system. Oh and how does a muscle action get transmitted from the brain to the muscle? I heard there’s a chemical change from the electric charge or something. Maybe a bit on the brain would be nice as well.

What Does Anyone Out There Think Of The Biotech Company Known As Viragen?

Hello Sweetie-Pi,
Having a bit of knowledge in stocks and various investment vehicles, may I suggest a pass on this one. Please take a quick look at the two charts below, one for Viragen and the other for it’s parent company. Pretty dismal if you ask me, which you did. If only because of the past performance alone as a indication, I would not buy this companies stock. I mean no disrespect to the company itself or it’s management but one should have expected much better stock performance given the products they have or are working on. Also the fact that their product(s) are not approved here in the states leaves me dubious. But even then with all my skepticism there is always the possibility that they could indeed have a major breakthrough and their stock could take off. But I don’t see it. Please do your own investigation on this one. Check their SEC filings to start. Good luck & Booya Tooya

I’m Looking For A Non-fiction Book On The History And Future Of Biotechnology For The Layman. Can Anyone Help?

I’m interested in learning about biotechnology from a pop-sci book. I have training in the sciences but not biotechnology, in particular. I would like to find a book that can help me understand the history, current state, and (at least one or more visions of the) future of biotechnology. Thanks for the help.
